Story Plot
"Yankee-kun to Megane-chan" covers the relationship between high school delinquent Daichi Shinagawa (Hiroki Narimiya) and bespectacled class representative Hana Adachi (Riisa Naka). Although they may appear to be polar opposites, Hana was once a legendary delinquent back in her junior high school days. Now, Hana attempts to get Daichi to change his ways for the better ...
THE MANGA
Daichi Shinagawa was just a Yankee (Japanese term for delinquent) who wanted nothing to do with his high school life. Hana Adachi, the dedicated class representative, however would not allow it and constantly bothers him to be involved in school life. Shinagawa is first confused on why does she keep pestering him until he discovers her secret.
While she may look like a typical class representative stereotype, Adachi is actually not very smart and lacks common sense, and Shinagawa eventually learns that Adachi is a former delinquent. Regretting being a yankee during her middle school years, Adachi decides to change her ways to achieve her dream of becoming the best class representative. She decides to help Shinagawa so he will not continue to make the same mistake that she did. Thus begins the adventures of these two unlikely friends and their classmates.

yankee kun to megane chan is .. hmmm..
how to describe it..
first i only read its manga... and realized the story was great..
and doubt that this mange ad a live action series... and i am correct!!
but not live action but drama!!
and that the start i watched it!! the story was great and the lead character fit fir the role
especially for Risa^_^
hmmm.. naka riisa is one of my favorite japanese actress...
becouse she is a very well actress...
the movie run nice...(as usual for japanese drama)
the /story made it not so long..
the drama run like gokusen especially for Tadashi..
For living with his grandpa(not on manga)
and giving some advise to the story..

Hongō has appeared in several movies, including Moon Child, which also starred Gackt, Hyde and Wang Lee Hom. Hongō played the role of "Sho" as a child, while the adult role was played by Gackt. He appeared in a movie called Hinokio which was released in July 2005 in Japan. Hongō is also the young boy in the singer YUI's music video for her song "Tomorrow's way", and was cast as the popular anime character Ryoma Echizen in the live-action adaptation The Prince of Tennis film.
Hongō also portrayed Shinichi Okazaki in the movie NANA 2, which was released in Japan on December 9, 2006. His next feature film is along side Michael Pitt and Keira Knightley in Silk which will be screened at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival. This marks Hongō's first appearance in an English language film, although it is still not known what type of role Hongō has in the film. He also recently starred in another music video, Bz's Eien no Tsubasa along with Tsubasa Honda
